Improvement Science Practitioner - Practical Skills - One Day Workshops


The two dimensions of improvement:

1. Safety and Quality
2. Flow and Productivity

These combine to create four poles: SFQP.

And safety comes first.

A high-quality experience for patients and staff requires a calm environment.

And a productive system is both effective and uses resources efficiently.

Traditional QI is strong on Safety and Quality but not strong on Flow and Productivity.

So we need to learn how to design our health care system to be fit-for-purpose on all dimensions.
